Proper Cart Set Out on Collection Day
Collection Day: Single Stream Recycling and Yard/Food Waste carts are serviced weekly.
- Set out containers before 6:00 a.m.
- Place containers in the street gutter, wheels against the curb
- Carts should be 2 feet apart to allow for pickup by automated trucks
- Carts should be at least 3 feet from parked vehicles
- Remove carts from curb within 24 hours after collection.
Single Stream Curbside Recycling
Single Stream Recycling allows you to put all your recyclable materials - cans, plastics, mixed paper and cardboard - into one recycling cart.

- Single Stream recycling simplifies recycling - all recyclable materials are mixed together in one container.
- Single Stream recycling is so easy, the number of people who recycle increases; therefore, the pounds of recycled materials collected also increases.
- Single Stream recycling cuts down on litter on collection day
- The hinged lids on the carts keep recyclable materials in the cart and dry.
- The wheeled carts make transportation easier, no more heavy lifting of those yellow tubs.
- Automated collection reduces the amount of time collection trucks are on the streets and that's good for the environment.
